| TOPIC: "THEN AND NOW: COMPARISONS BETWEEN ENRON AND THE CURRENT CYCLE OF ACCOUNTING FRAUDS PLUS NEW PRIORITIES OF THE ATTORNEY GENERAL " SPEAKER: Robb Adkins, Chief of the U.S. Attorneys Office in Orange County SPEAKER BIO: Robb Adkins is the Chief of the U.S. Attorney's Office in Orange County, heading an office of approximately 40 federal prosecutors and staff. Mr. Adkins himself primarily focuses on complex corporate and securities fraud prosecutions. From 2005 to 2006, Mr. Adkins served as a member on the Enron Task Force and was a trial attorney assisting John Hueston in the prosecution of Ken Lay and Jeff Skilling. Mr. Adkins was also the lead trial attorney in the separate trial solely against Ken Lay on bank fraud charges. Mr. Adkins is the recipient of the Attorney General's award for Exceptional Service, the highest commendation presented by the Department of Justice, and the "Daily Journal" has named Mr. Adkins one of the top 20 attorneys in California under the age of 40. Mr. Adkins has lectured at universities domestically and abroad. He received his undergraduate degree from Stanford and his law degree from Georgetown University. |
