TOPIC: “Investigative Techniques of an IRS Special Agent”

SPEAKER: Frank Fotinatos

DESCRIPTION OF SPEECH: Frank will discuss some of the investigative techniques he has used
during his career, including analyzing "alternative" books and records.

SPEAKER BIO: Frank has been a Special Agent for the Internal Revenue Service - Criminal
Investigation Division since 1983.  During that time, he worked in the Organized Drug
Enforcement Task Force for nine years and was assigned to the Southern California Drug Task
Force for nine years.  Frank also served as the Asset Forfeiture Coordinator for three years
before being assigned to his current position as Public Information Officer and Recruiter.  Frank's
cases have primarily involved drug traffickers and corrupt public officials.  He has earned
numerous awards for his tireless efforts, including the Federal Bar Association's Medal of Valor
Award.
